CHECK OUT DIRECTOR DALE S. LEWIS YOUNG RICH & FAMOUS/DGL


As a film student, Dale S. Lewis began his career as an Assistant Editor on the set of Terry McMillan’s “Disappearing Acts”, “The Source” and the “Soul Train Music Awards”. Lewis soon found himself working as an Assistant Director, a Director and Editor on more than 30 productions, including commercials ranging from Jeep Cherokee to Sketcher. The Entertainment Industry quickly recognized him as a fresh up and coming talent. In order to keep up with the demand, Lewis established his company, DGL Entertainment (formerly known as Image is Everything Productions), implementing his directorial vision for such clients as the American Heart Association, Alert and Instructional Videos for the infamous Latin Dance Company, Salsa Brava. As a result of proving himself as 2nd Unit Director and Editor for “The Big Black Comedy Show”, which was hosted by Monique (The Parker’s, Queens of Comedy, Two Can Play That Game and The Beauty Shop), Lewis was hired as the Director and Editor for the Disney television pilot “Keke and Jamal” and UPN's (currently the CW) Television Sitcom "Second Time Around". His creative imagination and resourcefulness was soon showcased in "The Other Side", a look at the harsh and sometimes hopeless reality of inner city residents living in his hometown of Philadelphia. This Documentary provided a new home for Lewis as a Def Filmmaker (simmonslathan.com), under the umbrella of Russell Simmons and Stan Lathan, whose stellar reputations, professional accomplishments and talents are best known for showcasing the best of urban entertainment. Lewis recently completed a feature film entitled “Julius Home” and the 30 min short film “Near Mrs”. Lewis is currently is in the final stages of development as the Director of the feature film entitled “Rags”, with Tommy Hilfiger as the Executive Producer. In addition, Lewis Directed the soon to be hit Reality TV show “The Paper Boyz”, starring Rich Hilfiger and MJ Lewis. Dale is also currently in pre-production helming the film, “Wide Ride”, a comedy starring Wayne Brady.
